Victor Laruccia, PhD, is the executive director of the San Diego Italian Film Festival. In his talk, he will share some of the stories behind the festival, why he and others decided to take on this job, and how it developed from a somewhat accidental offering of whatever films they could get into a sophisticated corporate enterprise, attracting professionals, volunteers, interns and partners, and producing larger numbers in films shown, audiences served and sponsors.
