Author Alex Haley wrote, "In every conceivable manner, the family is our link to our past, our bridge to our future."
The family plays a significant role in shaping our identities, our primary socializing agents, teaching kids right from wrong, and a system where lives are formed, developed and changed across time. The concept of the Family has significantly changed over the past 50 years, as the nuclear family has been expanded and reshaped through adoption, scientific technologies and the reality of more adult children living at home. Join Communication Studies Professor Dr. Leeva Chung to explore the impact of culture, technology, and identity shifts in roles of parents and children.
For ages 55 and up.
