The fourth annual V2 Pitch Competition is a campus-wide entrepreneurship competition where the venture and the entrepreneur, rather than the business plan, are vetted by potential investors.

On V2 Finals evening, four USD student and four binational track finalists pitch their idea to a panel of actual angel investors for an opportunity to win $50,000 (per track) for their projects in a "shark tank" meets academia setting.

More than 120 ventures in all were submitted this year.

Prior to the pitch competition, V2 hosts a poster board networking session where all V2 non-finalist entrants can present their projects in the IPJ's Garden of the Sky area and in the IPJ Rotunda. The keynote speaker for the 2015 V2 event is successful entrerpreneur and USD alumnus James Brennan ’96, co-founder of Suja Juice and CEO of Enlightened Hospitality Group.

V2 is an exciting night where students are able to make their venture ideas into a reality.
