The Department of Psychological Sciences is pleased to announce the 2011 Mike Haney Distinguished Lectures in Psychology. This year our speaker will be Scott Lilienfeld, PhD, professor of psychology at Emory University in Atlanta.

Dr. Lilienfeld is a well known clinical psychologist, researcher, and author. His research interests include personality disorders, pseudoscience in mental health practice, and the teaching of psychology. He is the former president of the Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology and editor of Scientific Review of Mental Health Practice.

Dr. Lilienfeld is author of over 200 journal articles, chapters, and books, including 50 Myths of Popular Psychology: Shattering Widespread Misconceptions about Human Behavior, Science and Pseudoscience in Clinical Psychology, and The Great Ideas of Clinical Science: The 17 Principles that all Mental Health Professionals Should Understand.
