Make plans now to participate in San Diego’s Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade on Saturday, January 15, 2011.

Reserve your complimentary t-shirt now, and make this your year to march with all members of the USD family, including students, employees, parents, alumni and friends in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade: “Living the Dream. Let Freedom Ring.”

Tailgate Park (near Petco Park)
Parade begins at 10 a.m.

Transportation will be provided. Participants can meet at 8:30 a.m. in front of the Hahn University Center for a ride down to the parade or at 9:15 a.m. in the staging area of Tailgate Park (13th and Imperial Avenue).

Later that evening, at 6 p.m., wear your 2011 USD MLK Parade t-shirt to the Jenny Craig Pavilion to watch the USD Toreros men’s basketball team compete against the San Francisco Dons.

Then, on Monday, January 17, 2011, celebrate 25 years of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday, by taking part in the MLK Day of Service.
